GINDUMAC uses new investment fund for direct purchase of used machinery

With its global platform model for used metal and plastics processing machinery, GINDUMAC GmbH has established itself as a global player in the used machinery market. Since being acquired by The Platform Group in 2020, the used machinery dealer has benefited from the synergy effects within the Wiesbaden-based group of companies.

To strengthen growth, a purchasing company was founded as Machinery Purchase & Fulfillment GmbH (in short: MPF GmbH). An associated investment fund in the six-figure range will be available to GINDUMAC for direct investments with immediate effect. The new company is part of The Platform Group. Benedikt Ruf and Janek Andre will simultaneously take over the management of MPF GmbH in addition to their management activities at the GINDUMAC Group.

“We have many plans for GINDUMAC. The used machinery market is growing. For me it was a necessary step with the purchasing company and the investment fund to give more opportunities to the two managing directors, to actively invest in growth,” comments Dr. Dominik Benner, CEO – The Platform Group.

At the start, a major project in Eastern Europe with machine tools in the six-figure investment range has already been acquired successfully.

“With GINDUMAC, we have the global marketing expertise with a strong online platform and an international team. With MPF, we now add new investment power. This creates trust for our customers. A strong combination with which we could win the first major project. An ideal start,” says Janek Andre.

GINDUMAC also benefits from new direct purchasing opportunities of projects in its cooperation with MPF. Depending on the framework conditions, manufacturing companies can choose between the global marketing option or a direct sale.

“Using MPF’s investment fund is a strategically important step for our business model. We give more flexibility to machinery sellers by allowing them to choose between the direct purchase and marketing option. At the same time, we can now extend the supply of quality machines for our buyers. Win-win“, adds Benedikt Ruf.

The goal of MPF GmbH is to establish itself in the future as an investment vehicle for used machinery dealers and thus also open for dealer cooperations, especially in the project business for, among other things, purchase financing and fulfillment.
